Balancing instruments hold a crucial position in the realm of vibroacoustic measurement equipment. Beyond their metrological roles, they also reduce the imbalance of rotating mechanisms, boosting economic efficiency and product quality with minimal capital investments, especially in industries abundant with rotary equipment like mills and fan manufacturing plants.
The cost of balancing equipment generally ranges from 2500 to 10000 euros, with a payback period of 6-7 months. However, for small and medium-sized enterprises, such as auto repair shops and electric motor service facilities, even these amounts can be burdensome.
The market offers a wide range of balancing instruments at various prices, from 2500 to 25000 euros, depending on the manufacturer and functionality. For example, the Balanset-1A, a portable balancer and vibration analyzer, costs around 1461 euros. High prices for such equipment are due to several factors: low production volumes, expensive vibration sensors, and the costs of developing specialized software.
However, there are opportunities to reduce costs, which we utilized in developing our new instrument, the "Balanset-1A". By using mass-produced components, cheaper vibration sensors, and management algorithms developed over the past 20 years, we significantly reduced expenses.
Consequently, the cost of our set (excluding the computer) is under 2000 euros, making it significantly cheaper than similar equipment on the market. Therefore, the "Balanset" provides an affordable balancing solution that even small businesses can afford.
